The Central Government has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court regarding the Central Vista Project. It has been said in this affidavit that the Central Vista Project is a project of national importance. Along with this, it has also been said that keeping in mind the pollution, work is being done on it.
The central government has told that smog guns are being used at the construction site. At the same time, other measures including keeping the construction material wet are also being adopted. In fact, in this case, the Supreme Court had asked the Central Government why the work of Central Vista is going on even after the ban on construction work. After which the central government has filed an affidavit on this on Wednesday.

The Supreme Court had asked the Central Government, ‘Is the dust and pollution increasing due to the continuation of construction work on the Central Vista Project’. Apart from this, the Supreme Court had also asked Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to tell what steps have been taken to check pollution in Delhi due to this project. The Supreme Court said that we have failed to stop pollution in Delhi, whether it is because of Central Vista or due to any other reason. Do not raise other issues to divert attention from the matter. The Solicitor General will have to answer on this.
On the other hand, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai also visited the Central Vista project site on Wednesday. He told that DPCC has issued notice to CPWD and has sought a reply that by whose order and on what basis this work is going on. At the same time, another notice has also been given in which clarification has been sought on the fact that even after the work continues, the violation of dust norms is visible. Water is being sprinkled on the main road, but there is dust on the link road. In such a situation, a total of two notices are being given, which will have to be answered by tomorrow.
