Chandrayaan-3: ISRO on Friday released a series of close-up picture of the moon. On 15th August when India celebrated it’s 76th independence day the spacecraft using it’s Lander Position Detection Camera (LPDC) captured pretty amazing pictures
For unversed, the lander got disconnected from the spacecraft’s propulsion module on August 17. They’re scheduled to touch down on August 23rd.
A former ISRO scientist, Mylswamy Annadurai, said that on Friday, after the lander module’s deboosting process takes place, the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft will move for a gentle touchdown on the Moon.
The budget for Chandrayaan-3 is 6 billion rupees, or roughly $72 million at the time of writing. The mission makes use of the Vikram lander, which is equipped with the Pragyan mini-rover.
If all goes according to plan, the robotic duo will explore their exotic environs for one lunar day (roughly 14 Earth days) after touching down. They’ll collect different data before the cold, dark lunar night turns out their lights.
