According to the Grattan Institute’s most recent Graduates in Limbo research, 32% of those on Temporary Graduate Visas are continuing their education after their visas expire in order to extend their stay in Australia.
This modification makes it obvious that graduates should either leave the nation when they are most likely to become “permanently temporary” or obtain competent employment and become permanent residents.
These adjustments complement a number of additional adjustments that will take effect for holders of Temporary Graduate visas on July 1. These include age restrictions that were lowered from 50 to 35 years old, somewhat shorter post-study work privileges, and more stringent English language proficiency standards that went into effect in March.
