Regarding Chhath Puja, the Home, Kara and Disaster Management Department has issued orders related to the above five types of restrictions. Earlier, the State Executive Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh to organize Chhath Puja. During this, Health Secretary Dr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni and Disaster Secretary Dr. Amitabh Kaushal were also present. It was agreed in the meeting that it would not be possible to have two yards of community ghats, ponds, lakes, reservoirs on the banks of the community, following the social distance during Chhath Puja. At the time of arghya, even two yards cannot be kept. The rules of face cover or mask will also not be followed.
The order, issued with the signature of the Chief Secretary, said that shops, stalls, decorations with electric bulbs around rivers or water sources and burning firecrackers in public places would be completely banned. Not only this, there will be complete ban on public programs of music and entertainment on the occasion of Chhath.
