Chhath 2022: Every year, just after Diwali festivities, the auspicious festival of Chhath Puja is observed nationwide. There are two occasions to commemorate Chhath: Chaiti Chhath puja and Kartik Chhath.
The majority of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and certain regions of Nepal all participate in this celebration. It is observed on the sixth day of Shukla Paksha in the Kartik month and is devoted to Lord Surya and Goddess Chhathi.
On this auspicious day, prayers are offered to the Lord Sun, and people bathe in the Ganga’s sacred waters. The day honours the kindness of Lord Sun and his wife in bestowing this lovely life on earth.
