The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Tuesday issued some guidelines for airlines to reduce congestion at airports and ensure smooth flow of passengers following chaos at Delhi airport following heavy rush of passengers. In this, all aviation companies have been told that full deployment of employees should be done at all check-in and baggage drop counters. Along with this, all aviation companies will have to give information about waiting time and entry gate regarding entry at airports through social media feed. This real time data will be of great help to the passengers in planning their journey.

Ministry advises all aviation companies, “All listed airlines are advised to pre-deploy adequate manpower at all check-in/baggage drop counters to decongest airports and ensure smooth flow of passengers.”
Further, the Ministry has requested all airlines to put real time data on their social media feeds regarding waiting time at the entry gates of the respective airports.
