Police reported on Monday that five young people, including their friends, raped a class 10 girl after they took her to a hotel in Gurugram. According to a police officer, two of the five suspects in the incident on Saturday night were detained on Monday, according to news outlet PTI.
The 14-year-old victim’s mother alleged in her complaint that her daughter left the house on Saturday at about 12.30 p.m. She believed that her daughter had visited the nearby park for a stroll.
“When she did not return for long we started searching for her but could not trace her. At around 10 am on Sunday my daughter was found near the house,” according to the victim’s mother’s statement in the police report, PTI reported.

An FIR was filed based on the complaint under IPC sections 376-D (gang rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
