Ram Lalla Jalabhishek: In what can be considered a grand spectacle, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will use water from 155 rivers from across the world to perform the ‘Jalabhishek’ of Ram Lalla on April 23 in Ayodhya. Since Ram Lalla stands for the Hindu tenet of Vasudeva Kutumbakam, the CM took the innovative step of collecting water from different countries.
This also includes water from Pakistan which was sent by the Hindus of Pakistan first to Dubai and then from there onwards brought to Delhi. This water will be now brought to Ayodhya. Besides Pakistan, water will come from the rivers of countries that include Suriname, China, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Canada and Tibet.
To bear country’s name
The water that will be ferried from the above mentioned countries around the world will don stickers bearing the flags of the countries of origin, their names and the names of the rivers from where the water has been sourced. Reports said that envoys belonging to many of these countries will also take part in the programme.
The gesture is seen as a universal message being sent out that Ram Lalla doesn’t belong to any one particular country alone but belongs to Hindus across the world.
Devotees to hand over Kalash
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust secretary Champat Rai said, “A team led by Ram devotee and Delhi BJP leader Vijay Jolly will hand over the kalash containing waters fetched from the rivers from the world over to CM Yogi Adityanath in Ayodhya on that day.”
According to reports, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and CM Yogi will worship the ‘jal kalash’ after getting it from the team in a ceremony that is set to be organized on April 23 at Maniram Das Chawni Auditorium in Ayodha.
