Congress Appeals to Amitabh Bachchan, Highlights Train Overcrowding! Seek Solution

Recently, the Kerala Congress contacted Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan to ask for his help in bringing attention to the problem of packed trains in India. The party brought attention to the predicament of commuters jammed aboard trains in the searing heat through a video that was circulated on social media.

Congress

Congress: On Thursday, the Kerala Congress posted a video of a crowded train from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. “Dear Amitabh Bachhan…” opened the text message that went with the video, and the Bollywood star’s X account was tweeted in the message.

Plea for Assistance to Amitabh Bachchan

“You can lend us a little assistance. Millions of regular people are compelled to travel in this manner. Everyone is crammed into even the designated compartments. The Kerala Congress remarked, “This video is from Gorakhpur, where the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is from, and it is 52 degrees Celsius in North India. The train displayed a crammed compartment with people stumbling around in the sweltering heat. They may be seen attempting to fend off the heat with plastic fans.

Critique of Government Policy

The Kerala Congress criticized the Center, claiming that despite a 14 crore increase in the country’s population over the previous ten years, the number of new trains added to the fleet has not kept pace. “We’ve added quite a few Vande Bharats to the fleet even though half of them are running with very low occupancy,” the party said.

The Kerala Congress went on to explain in the post why it had gotten in touch with Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan. The party alleged that Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of railways, disregarded its requests for more trains. “However, he swiftly responds to issues highlighted by the affluent and celebrities even if the request is about recovering a hacked Twitter account,” the Kerala Congress said.

Request for Support

The party aimed to use Amitabh Bachhan’s stature as leverage to draw attention to the problem. “Given your influence and commitment to social causes, we request you to tweet about this matter. Your support can help bring much-needed attention to the plight of these people and potentially inspire action,” the Kerala Congress said.
