Centre ordinance in Delhi: In a huge relief for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Congress has lent its support to the Arvind Kejirwal-led Delhi government, saying it won’t support the Centre’s ordinance on control of services in the national capital. The move comes as a big boost to AAP which has been seeking the grand old party’s support ever since the Centre issued an ordinance in Delhi.
‘We are not going to support it’
Congress general secretary KC Venugopal told news agency PTI that AAP is expected to attend the Opposition meeting tomorrow, clarifying their stance against the Centre’s ordinance. “Our stand is very clear. We are not going to support it,” he said, adding, “We are concisely opposing the attempt of the Central government to run the state through the governance.”
