Congress Leaders Invited to Ayodhya! Will Sonia Gandhi and Kharge Attend Ram Mandir Inauguration?

Ayodhya Ram Temple: Congress General Secretary in-charge of Communications, Jairam Ramesh, announced on Friday that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi have been invited to attend the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on January 22, 2024, in Ayodhya.

Congress General Secretary’s Announcement

Ramesh says they’ll make their decision about whether or not to attend the event known when it’s appropriate. He continued, “The decision will be taken and communicated at the appropriate time.” According to reports, the leader of the party in the Lok Sabha was invited to the Ram Temple’s consecration ceremony in addition to Mallikarjun Kharge and Sonia Gandhi. Congressman Digvijaya Singh had earlier stated that Sonia Gandhi would be represented by a delegation in Ayodhya; however, there are now rumours circulating that she may actually attend the event.

Shashi Tharoor’s Statement

Shashi Tharoor, a CWC member and Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram, stated on Thursday that choosing to attend Lord Ram’s consecration ceremony in Ayodhya is a personal decision.
