Congress Leaders Pawan khera and Jairam Ramesh React to Haryana Election Results 2024 Loss, Say ‘Defeat of Democracy, Victory of System’

The results of the 2024 Haryana Assembly election were sharply criticized by Congress leaders Pawan Khera and Jairam Ramesh, who described it as a "victory of the system and defeat of democracy."

Haryana Election Results 2024: Congress leaders Pawan khera and Jairam Ramesh showed their strong disagreement with the Haryana Assembly Election Result 2024 after the massive setback. In a press conference, Pawan Khera said, “This is the victory of the system and defeat of democracy.” Let us tell you that this was the Third win in a row for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Jairam Ramesh Claims Congress Made to Lose in Haryana

In a press conference Congress communication in-charge Jairam Ramesh said, “Congress has been made to lose in Haryana.” He added that “Machines are replaced and complaints filed by candidates were being collected and would be submitted to the election commission in the upcoming days.”

Jairam said, “The writing on the wall was very, very clear to anybody who was willing to read the writing on the wall. But, you know, there are people who are experts in replacing walls. They just replace the wall or machines, in this case machine.”

He further said, “So I have already explained, I don’t think you were there when I was explaining, that as far as the results are concerned, Haryana result. Our first priority is to collate, consolidate all the complaints that have come from candidates from the three districts today. There will be other complaints and we hope to submit this to the Election Commission tomorrow evening or day after. That is our immediate priority.”

He added that, “Simultaneously, of course, we will sit and introspect why the result went the way it did. It was everybody’s expectation that the Congress would win comfortably in Haryana. I think all I can say is that the Congress has been made to lose. Congress has not lost. has been made to lose in Haryana. And you have not heard the last of the Haryana result.”

“The chapter on Haryana is not complete, it will continue. The chapter in Jammu and Kashmir, of course, there will be a coalition government. And as I said till yesterday, various attempts were being made to ensure that the majority will not come to the Congress-NC coalition but the people of Jammu and Kashmir have given a very clear mandate for this coalition government,” Jairam Ramesh added.

Pawan Khera Calls Haryana Election a ‘Defeat of Democracy

Congress leader Pawan khera also outbursts in a Press conference. He said, “If it is said in one line, this is the victory of the system and the defeat of democracy. We cannot accept this…We are collecting complaints. Our candidates have given complaints to the returning officers there and are still giving them. In the coming days, we will soon go to the Election Commission with all these complaints and register our complaint there.”

“This kind of result was not visible anywhere on the ground. No one can believe that such an unexpected result will come in Haryana. We are all surprised,” he added saying that the results were unexpected and unacceptable.

“The results are totally unexpected and we would even say that they are unacceptable. The kind of complaints that are continuously coming in. There are continuous complaints about our candidate from three districts, Hisar, Mahendragarh and Panipat. Complaints are continuously coming about how some batteries of machines that were 99% showed us losing and in the machines which were not touched, whose batteries were 60-70% shows our candidate winning,” Khera said.

BJP Set to Form Government for Third Time in Haryana

Meanwhile Congress leader Sailja Kumari urged the party high command to work out plan to help revive party in Haryana. She said, “High command should work out plan to help revive party in Haryana, identify those responsible for such results. It will not be business as usual. Congress should identify those who negated efforts to bring party to power after 10 years.” BJP won 48 seats out of 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana Assembly Election 2024. With this third time, Bhartiya Janata Party is going to form it government in Haryana. Congress won 36 seats and said this verdict is simply unacceptable.
