Congress MLA Mamman Khan arrested in Nuh violence case

In connection with the communal violence that took place in Nuh, the Haryanana Police arrested Congress MLA Mamman Khan.

Mamman Khan, a Haryana Congress MLA who was listed as the accused in the racial unrest that broke out in Nuh in August, was taken into custody on Thursday.

“Ample evidence” of his role in the violence that occurred after a Vishwa Hindu Parishad yatra, according to Haryana Police.

On Tuesday, the Ferozepur Jhirka MLA filed a court petition asking for protection from arrest. Mamman asserted that he was being falsely accused even though he wasn’t even in Nuh on the day when the unrest started.

The Congress politician was designated an accused after the evidence against him was “properly evaluated,” the Haryana Police told the court. Additionally, they stated that police have phone call logs and other supporting evidence.On Friday, Mamman will be brought before the court.
