The Congress panel on the Punjab issue to resolve the factionalism in the state, went till the party war room at GRG road.
Mallikarjun Kharge, the head of the committee state that they will be submitting the report in three or four days.
However, according to the sources, the panel may not recommend the removal of Chief Minister Amrinder Singh, who could lead the party in the next year’s election.
Still the fate of Sidhu is still not clear but he may be recommended for the Deputy Chief Minister of the state.
After the meeting, Captain Amarinder Singh had said, “The meeting was to discuss the preparations for the Assembly elections scheduled early next year. These are our inner-party discussions and I don’t propose to share them with you.”
The Congress want to retain Sidhu by making some minor adjustments.
