Big things of Congress manifesto
The Congress party has written in its manifesto that corruption has increased at the panchayat level in Bengal because of the Trinamool Congress. There is a need to bring a system without ‘cut money’ to end this in the state. Cut money here means that money which is taken in the form of commission (bribe) in lieu of any work.
It has been further written in the manifesto that everyone will get a job card at the panchayat level and everyone will be given work for 100 days in a year, regardless of which political party the person belongs to. A promise has been made to provide electricity to every panchayat area.
It was further said that skill development schemes for women and youth would be started. It was also promised that on winning the election, women would be given Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500 under the Laxmi Bhandar scheme like in other Congress states.
