A user named Rattan Dhillon shared a video on Twitter that depicts a female journalist covering a flood while wearing a safety tube around her torso to keep her from drowning. A few members of the NDRF are visible nearby aboard a rescue boat, and one of them is thought to be the one who recorded the incident’s footage. As the journalist poses for the camera while reporting, one can observe another member of the NDRF shooting shots of her.
Outrage on Social Media: Netizens Slam Journalist for Using NDRF Equipment
Netizens flocked to Dhillon’s comment section to criticise the reporter for utilising NDRF equipment for personal use as soon as the video became public. Some were also seen slamming the reporter’s news programme and her reporting style. “Govt should ban these jokers,” said a user while criticising the reporter for her act. Another user said, “In sewer water, she will need lot of anti biotic cream for next few days.”
