New Delhi: India recorded a jump of 7.4 percent in the new Covid cases adding 41,195 new cases of infection over the last 24 hours. The country’s case load now stands at 3.20 crore while the total fatalities rose to 4.29 lakh with 490 deaths, according to the government.
India’s positivity rate is below the 5 percent-mark at 2.23 percent. Active cases constitute 1.21 percent of total cases, the lowest since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands 97.45 percent, said the Union Health Ministry.
Almost 490 people died and 39,069 people got recovered out of covid infection, in the last 24 hours.
The COVID-19 vaccination in India coverage has crossed the 52 crore-mark with more than 40 lakh vaccine doses administered till Wednesday.
According to data shared by the city health department, the national capital’s Covid graph is showing improvement with 37 cases of new infections, on Wednesday. The positivity rate in Delhi has declined to 0.06 percent. Also the capital witnessed no death due to covid in the last 24 hours.
