Covid-19 Update: On Sunday, India recorded a total of 3,824 new infections, the highest single-day increase in covid-19 cases in the previous six months. According to information provided by the Union Health Ministry, this brings the total number of active cases up to 18,389 now.
India’s COVID-19 tally rose to 4.47 crore
The number of new infections increased India’s COVID-19 total to 4.47 crore (4,47,22,605). The data updated at 8 am showed that five deaths brought the death toll to 5,30,881.
In a 24-hour, Delhi, Haryana, Kerala, and Rajasthan all recorded one death, with Kerala reconciling one of them. The number of current cases is at 18,389, or 0.04 percent of all infections. The website of the health ministry reports that the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.77%.
Daily Positive Rate
Both the daily and weekly positive rates were 2.24 percent and 2.87 percent, respectively. 4,41,73,335 persons have recovered from the infection, while the case fatality rate has been reported at 1.19 percent.
On the ministry’s website, it is stated that the nationwide vaccination program has so far administered 220.66 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
