New Delhi: India has reported 12,729 fresh COVID-19 cases and 221 deaths in the last 24 hours, informed the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 1,48,922. With 12,165 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the cumulative recoveries reached 3,37,24,959. Meanwhile, the total death toll has reached 4,59,873.
As per the ministry, 1,07,70,46,116 COVID-19 vaccination has been done so far.
More than 116.50 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been provided to states and union territories so far, out of which, over 15.54 crore balance and unutilised COVID-19 vaccine doses are still available with them to be administered, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Friday.
“More than 116.50 crore vaccine doses have been provided to states and Union Territories (UTs) so far through the Central government’s free of cost channel and through the direct state procurement category,” said the Ministry. “More than 15.54 crore balance and unutilised COVID vaccine doses are still available with the states/UTs to be administered,” it added.
Meanwhile, the overall coronavirus cases across the world has reached 249,343,498, while the 5,045,077. In the same time, 225,848,179 people have been recovered.
