NGO Licence Revoked: After carrying out due process, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) withdrew the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) licences of five eminent NGOs, claiming among other things infractions such the misuse of foreign funding, as ANI reported on April 3 quoting sources.

According to further sources, the NGOs comprise Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFOI), Church Auxiliary for Social Action (CASA), Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS), Voluntary Health Association of India (VHAI), and CNI Synodical Board of Social Service (CNI-SBSS).
Absence of Public Announcement
We would like to inform you that the NGO has not yet made a public announcement about the revocation of its FCRA licence, but it is anticipated that they will address MHAS’s ruling in due time. The climate resilience-focused Nonprofit, Indo Global Social Service Society, was reportedly receiving money from Germany, the UK, and Singapore. Let us inform you that the Ministry conducted a thorough inquiry before making its conclusion.
