Israel Iran Conflict: Concerning information indicates that of the 25 crew members on board the Portuguese-flagged cargo ship MSC Aries, which is associated with Israel, Iran seized it in the Gulf of Hormuz. Apparently, 17 of them are Indian.

According to news agency ANI, the Indian government has responded to the situation and is in contact with Iran. The ship MSC ARIES was headed to the port of Nhava Sheva in Mumbai, India, when it was commandeered by Iran in the Gulf of Hormuz. The night of April 15 was the anticipated arrival.

“We are aware that a cargo ship ‘MSC Aries’ has been taken control of by Iran. We have learnt that there are 17 Indian nationals onboard. We are in touch with the Iranian authorities through diplomatic channels, both in Tehran and in Delhi, to ensure the security, welfare and early release of Indian nationals,” ANI quoted attributing to sources.
