Dr. Shraddha Bindroo, the daughter of Makhan Lal Bindroo, a Kashmiri Pandit businessman who was shot dead by terrorists in Srinagar on Tuesday evening has said that the spirit of her father will live on.
“He is a Kashmiri Pandit, he will never die. You can just kill the body. Makhan Lal Bindroo will be alive in the spirit,” Shraddha said on Wednesday.
She also challenged the gunman who killed her father to face her for a debate.
In the video, Bindroo is heard saying that her father made her an associate professor and her brother a famous diabetologist in Srinagar.
A Kashmir Pandit, Bindroo was one of the few among his community who did not migrate out of Kashmir after the onset of militancy in 1990. He stayed back along with his wife to continue operating his pharmacy Bindroo Medicate.

Bindroo, 68, was shot by the assailants from point-blank range while he was at his pharmacy dispensing medicines, a police official said. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, the official added.
As per reports, the doctors at the hospital said that the deceased had several injuries on his body. His death was confirmed via a tweet by a police officer.
Bindroo’s killing comes less than four months after another prominent Kashmiri Pandit, BJP councillor Rakesh Pandita, was shot dead by terrorists in south Kashmir’s Pulwama.
