From March 17, the Delhi government will release its annual budget for the budget year 2023–24. The Delhi Assembly’s Budget session will take place on March 23 without Manish Sisodia, a senior AAP politician who was recently arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case.
This time, the government’s budget will be given by Kailash Gehlot, an AAP minister who took over the newly assigned departments on Thursday after Sisodia and another AAP minister, Satyendra Jain, resigned from their roles.
Together with the departments of Finance, Planning, Public Works (PWD), Power, Housing, Urban Development, Irrigation and Flood Control, and Water, the responsibility of all other departments that are not officially assigned to any ministry has recently been shifted to the minister.
