Delhi Car Horror: Sex assault is excluded by autopsy, injuries are “due to dragging”

Delhi Car Horror: An autopsy of the Delhi lady who was dragged for 13 kilometres by a car in the early hours of January 1 determined that there had not been any sexual assault because there were “no injuries to the private parts.”
Today, the police received the autopsy report that was completed by a board of medical professionals at Maulana Azad Medical College. Swab swabs and pieces of her pants have been saved for future tests.

Anjali Singh’s mother was one of many who had doubts that the accident might not have been limited to the scooter being struck by the car, which subsequently dragged the victim to death.

The study states that shock and haemorrhage from injuries to the brain, spine, left femur, and both lower limbs are the preliminary causes of death.

No sign of sexual assault highlighted in autopsy

According to Special Commissioner of Police Sagar Preet Hooda in a statement to the media, “All injuries (were caused) by blunt force impact and possible with vehicular accident and dragging. Also, the report indicates that there is no injury suggestive of sexual assault. The final report will be received in due course.”

The five guys who were in the automobile have been detained and accused of reckless driving, criminal homicide, and causing death through negligence. Police had previously stated that there was no proof of a sexual assault.

Anjali, 20, who works as an event planner and was with a friend, Nidhi, when the Maruti Baleno car struck her scooter, has been identified as a key witness by investigators. Unharmed, the companion left the scene, but Anjali’s leg became entangled in the axle of the vehicle, sources informed NDTV. According to investigators, Nidhi is now an important eyewitness.
When police re-mapped the path the victim had travelled after leaving a hotel at 1.45 am on January 1 after attending a New Year’s celebration, they learned more about the collision.

Culprits accept being intoxicated at the time incident happened

The men in the automobile are said to have admitted to being intoxicated. They sped off in a hurry after hitting the scooter, not realising a woman was being pulled after them.

One of the men first observed an arm hanging out at a U-turn in Kanjhawala after the car had dragged the woman through the streets for 13 miles. They came to a stop, she let go of her body, and they sped off.
The driver, Deepak Khanna, told police that he felt “something trapped” under the vehicle, but that other people had assured him that there was nothing there.

After police reacted to calls from witnesses who observed the body being carried, the case came to light. One of the people who called the police attempted to call the car-borne individuals as well and tried to pursue them on a scooter, but he was unable to catch up.
