After the resignation of jailed Aam Aadmi Party leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain on Tuesday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday sent the names of AAP MLAs Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi to Delhi LG to be elevated as ministers in the cabinet.

“Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal sent names of AAP MLAs Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi to Delhi LG to be elevated as ministers in the cabinet,” ANI said in a tweet.
Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain quit as cabinet ministers
The development comes a day after jailed cabinet ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain turned in their papers. Sisodia was arrested on Sunday evening in the alleged excise scam case after being grilled by CBI for eight hours.
Sisodia was heading the Finance and Excise Department which looks after the liquor policy. Jain, who has been lodged in a jail in a money laundering case, held departments such as Home, Health and Power development.
Delhi LG sends Manish Sisodia and Satyednar Jain to president Murmu
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has sent deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain to president Draupadi Murmu to be accepted.
“Delhi LG Vinai Saxena, upon request from Delhi CM to accept the resignations of ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain on February 28 has recommended to the President that their resignations may be accepted,” the LG office said.
