According to Supreme Court the ‘Lieutenant Governor is obligated to follow the advice of the elected government in all areas except for police, public order, and land,’ which CM Kejriwal said as a Victory for democracy. CM Kejriwal thanked the Supreme Court for delivering justice to the citizens of Delhi and anticipated that ‘this decision would result in a significant advancement in the development of the city.’ Kejriwal also called for a Cabinet meeting to discuss the verdict.
Supreme Court declares elected government’s control over officers a ‘positive development’ in landmark ruling

CJ declared that ‘an elected government should have control over its officers, which is a positive development.’ Leader of the Aam Admi Party (AAP) in power, Sanjay Singh, applauded the verdict and criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government for obstructing the elected government’s work, causing an eight-year delay in progress. He claimed that the obstacles were now removed, and the elected government had all rights, rather than the LG, with the Cabinet’s decisions now being binding on the LG.
AAP members and Delhi officials welcome historic Supreme Court verdict on officers’ control
According to Raghav Chadha, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party, the Supreme Court’s decision is a historic one that emphasizes that officers should work for the people through the elected government and not be appointed by the Centre to obstruct governance. Saurabh Bharadwaj, a minister in Delhi, tweeted that Kejriwal has been fighting the legal battle for over eight years, and now the people have emerged victorious in court.
