Delhi Gears Up for 18th G20 Summit! Police Clarifies Misleading Headlines on G20 Summit Restrictions

G20 Summit: On September 9 and 10, the nation’s capital will host the 18th G20 Summit. This will be the result of all the G20 Summit and processes that took place among ministers, senior officials, and civil society during the year. At the conclusion of the G20 Summit, a statement from the G20 Leaders outlining their support for the goals discussed and decided at the corresponding ministerial and working group meetings will be adopted.

Clarifying G20 Summit Restrictions to Avoid Public Confusion

Delhi Police on its official social media account said “It has come to our attention that some news agencies are misinterpreting and miscommunicating the restrictions, that are to be imposed in New Delhi area in the wake of G20 Summit, using misleading headlines which is causing confusion in the minds of the public and news readers. It is once again reiterated that restrictions are only imposed in a small portion of NDMC area. We request news agencies to publish accurate details in full consonance with our advisories so that there is no room left for any ambiguity.”

Delhi Police’s Warning to Travel Website

Earlier, Delhi Police requested that a travel website stop disseminating false information to the public. The email received by the travel website is incorrect and falsely states that Delhi is closed from September 8 to 10, according to Delhi Police, which posted this on its official social media account. There won’t be a lockdown in New Delhi District, according to Delhi Police, but there will be restrictions. They were ordered to repudiate the email and provide clarification by Delhi Police.
