Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Tuesday that in view of the increasing cases of corona in the city, the corona restrictions will be further tightened. Chief Minister Kejriwal said, ‘In July, we had made GRAP, so that restrictions can be imposed from scientific date. It has been decided to implement GRAP in Delhi. Yellow alert will apply. Restrictions are being imposed.’
He said, 0.5 percent corona positivity rate is being recorded for more than two days. We are implementing Level-I (Yellow Alert) of the Graded Response Action Plan. A detailed order on the applicable restrictions will be issued soon.
Also, Chief Minister Kejriwal said that there is nothing to be afraid of corona, most of the cases are of mild symptoms. Patients of Omicron, the new variant of Corona, have not needed ICU or ventilators or oxygen beds. So don’t worry. This time we are 10 times more prepared to deal with the corona virus. There are pictures of crowd in the market and mall that people are not wearing masks. Now such pictures should not come that the market is crowded, people are not wearing masks or else the market will have to be closed and it will cause financial problems.
‘Yellow’ alert is issued when the Covid infection rate remains more than 0.5 percent for two consecutive days. This includes measures such as imposing night curfew, closure of schools and colleges, opening of non-essential goods shops on an odd-even basis and halving the seating capacity of passengers in metro trains and public transport buses.
