Delhi Jal Board official bathes in Yamuna water amid BJP’s toxic chemicals allegations

Delhi Jal Board (DJB) director Sanjay Sharma (Sanjay Sharma) bathed in Yamuna river amidst the political ruckus in Delhi over Chhath Puja. He did this after being challenged by BJP MP Pravesh Verma. It was being claimed that poisonous chemical was being mixed in Yamuna river, due to which people bathing in it could fall ill. Sanjay Sharma, director of Delhi Jal Board, said that he took a bath with Yamuna water to expose the false claim of poisonous chemical in Yamuna river.

A Delhi Jal Board (DJB) official has booked BJP’s West Delhi MP Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma and party leader Tajinder Singh Bagga for monitoring the use of an ‘anti-foaming’ substance on the Yamuna river in Kalindi Kunj.

Sanjay Sharma, Director of Treatment Quality Control of DJB, lodged a complaint with Kalindi Kunj police station on Friday. According to Sanjay Sharma’s complaint, MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma “used a lot of abusive language and misbehaved with me”. He is also spreading false propaganda that I am mixing poison in the water of Yamuna river in association with DJB officials. Director Sanjay Sharma alleged that BJP MP Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma along with Tajinder Singh Bagga and some of his associates was stopped from doing his duty and threatened.

BJP MP had said this thing

Significantly, BJP MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma had alleged that no arrangement has been made by the Delhi government regarding Chhath Puja. Devotees are forced to take bath in the dirty water of Yamuna. This can have a bad effect on their health.
