Delhi LG VK Saxena gives nod to AAP’s proposal to train teachers in Finland

Delhi Lt. Governor VK Saxena has approved the Education Department’s proposal for a training programme for primary in-charges in Finland. The LG has also increased the number of teachers from 52 to 87 for fair benefit for all, ensuring equal representation of primary in-charges from all 29 administrative zones of the education department.

“Considering that there are about 450 schools of the Directorate of Education having primary classes, it will only be in the fitness of things that the benefits of the learning from the training are extended, to all the students of primary classes simultaneously,” stated the LG’s directions.

“It should also be ensured that all 29 administrative zones of the education department are represented,” it added.

Teachers to submit training report

After approving the proposal, LG Saxena said the a comprehensive report should be submitted by each participant teacher within 15 days of confusion of the training. He said that it is upon those who have been trained to train others so that no student is deprived of benefits. 

“The classroom projects adopted by Finland in its educational institutions may be replicated for adopting the best practices and a virtual tour of these projects may be conducted as a regular exercise,” he said.
