Delhi Metro: On March 8th, the Holi festival will be observed. They are occupied getting ready for this. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has also released instructions for the time the metro should run on Holi Day. On March 8, the day of the Holi holiday, all Delhi Metro services, including Rapid/Airport Express, would be suspended until 2:30 pm, according to DMRC. As a result, the metro won’t start operating until 2.30 PM.
Delhi Metro services were already previously shut down
Metro services from terminal stations on all lines will resume at 2:30 pm and then run as usual, according to DMRC. Moreover, metro feeder bus services will be unavailable on March 8 until 2.30 p.m. This service will thereafter start as well. Notably, the Delhi Metro services were already previously shut down until midday on the occasion of Holi.
Delhi Police has published instructions for the Holi celebration
The Delhi Police, on the other hand, has published instructions for the Holi celebration. In a statement, the Delhi Police stated that extensive security preparations are being undertaken for Holi. Unexpected inspections will be conducted to address traffic infractions. According to Delhi Traffic Police, “The Delhi Traffic Police has prepared elaborate traffic measures in anticipation of the Holi festival on March 8. Enjoy the festival of pleasure and abide by the road laws.”

Advisory of delhi traffic police
- Do not drive after drinking alcohol.
- Follow the prescribed speed limit.
- Obey the traffic signal.
- Do not engage in race or competition with other vehicles.
- Especially two wheeler driver/rider should wear helmet and avoid triple riding.
- Do not engage in reckless, dangerous or erratic driving.
- Do not allow minors/unauthorized persons to drive your vehicle.
- Do not indulge in stunting on two wheelers.
- Celebrate Holi indoors, not in public places/roads.
