Additionally, on Tuesday morning from 5 to 6 am, all lines of the metro will run every 30 minutes. Apart from this, DMRC has also issued a notification stating Parking at stations would be shut.
Parking at stations to be shut
With an emphasis on heightened security measures in light of Independence Day, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made a significant announcement. Commencing from 6:00 AM on Sunday, 14th August, until 2:00 PM on Monday, 15th August, parking facilities will be temporarily unavailable at all Delhi Metro stations.
Consequently, commuters intending to utilize the metro services on these specified days will need to find alternative arrangements for parking their vehicles, as station parking will not be accessible during this period. Yet Metro services will continue to operate according to standard procedures.
In response to this situation, the DMRC has recommended commuters to consider utilising public transportation or practicing carpooling as alternatives to reach the metro stations. It’s important to note that despite the parking facility unavailability, the metro train services will continue to operate according to their regular schedule on these specified days.
