Delhi News: The National Capital will soon have Supervisory Control Acquisition to check the water supply in the city. For this purpose the Delhi Jal Board will place flow meters across the 1550 km pipeline by the end of this year. The system will check the city’s water supply. Currently the city needs around 13,50 million gallons water per day but it receives 990 gmd per day.

The whole process is likely to be over by December
The Chief Minister said he has announced a schedule for the installation process and for this the request for bids have been asked in the coming 20 days. The entire process is likely to be completed by August 20. The Delhi Jal Board will also schedule the commissioning of the Flow meters and ensure that they will be completed on time. The officials also said that in many parts of Delhi, many areas have been receiving low water supply because the main water lines that serve the city is either being tapped or reallocated to other locations.
The SCADA systems will track the water usage
The flow meters will be linked to the SCADA system which allows the Delhi Jal Board Officials to keep an eye on the flow of water in every area. The system will help in tracking the water usage in the city.
