Delhi News: Heavy rain brings much needed relief! Traffic jams to create chaos?

Delhi News: As you can see in a post about Delhi’s weather conditions on X from Asian News International (ANI), an Indian news organisation that provides syndicated multimedia news feeds. The article describes how the intense downpour that provided relief from the heatwave fell in several areas of Delhi. In addition, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for high winds gusting between 20 and 30 km/h throughout the day, as well as heavy rain and thunderstorms in several areas of the city. The monsoon is predicted to reach Delhi by the end of this month, according to the IMD. However, even while rains brought about a temperature shift and provided much-needed reprieve from the oppressive heat, it also leads to severe traffic congestion on the roads in Delhi.

Here are the reason and places where traffic jams occur

The high volume of traffic, the amount of people walking around, and the illegal parking of cars are the main causes of the congestion in many areas of Delhi. The three Delhi districts that make up the northern range, Rohini, North-West, and Outer-North, had the highest concentration of the 117 congestion locations. Thirteen of the twenty-seven locations are in Rohini. However two are at the metro stations at Rohini West and Rithala, and a third is at schools. Because there is a lot of foot activity and automobile traffic in these areas,.

Solution to the traffic jam

If you want to lessen traffic bottlenecks, consider using Metro rather than private vehicles. With the completion of the second phase of Delhi Metro, commuters in Delhi and the surrounding NCR cities of Gurgaon, Noida, and Ghaziabad now have access to a comfortable public transportation system. The usage of buses may also aid in lessening gridlock on the roadways. The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has introduced around 3,500 low floor air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned buses, including corporate sector buses. Traffic movement is signal-free on the Ring Road bypass and elevated corridors in various parts of Delhi, such as the Barrapula drain.
