Delhi News: Days after the fire tragedy created havoc in the Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar area, special audits have been conducted by the Fire Department to ensure the Coaching Centers in Delhi run with the ‘No Objection’ certificate. Unfortunately more than half of the Coaching Centers lack the required Fire Safety Documents. The Survey is being carried out by the Fire Safety Department after the instruction from the Delhi High Court when the fire caught in the Mukherjee Nagar Coaching Centre raised many questions on the safety of the students studying in these institutes despite of paying a heavy fee.

Many Coaching Centers found flouting norms
The Fire Officers said the survey will be conducted till Sunday and after reviewing every institute we will submit a report in the Delhi High court. The surveys are currently going in the Mukherjee Nagar, Kalu Sarai, Janak Puri, and the Laxmi Nagar area. Many Coaching Centers were found violating safety norms in many areas, some of them had placed old Fire Extinguishers or some never had them.
‘There has never been any specific Guidelines for the Institutes’
The experts also say that there has never been any particular guidelines being laid for the Coaching centers to run and there is no data of how many coaching centers are currently running in Delhi so our Fire Officers aren’t sure of all.
