Beating Retreat Ceremony: As is customary, the Beating Retreat event will take place at Vijay Chowk this year as well. In order to prevent any issues with the traffic system, Delhi Police released a traffic advice on Monday. Any kind of vehicle cannot enter from Raisina Road to the Dara Shikoh intersection, according to the police.
Raisina Road Restrictions For Beating Retreat Ceremony
The advice mentioned traffic on Raisina Road from Krishi Bhawan intersection towards Vijay Chowk, beyond Dara Shikoh intersection, Krishna Menon Marg intersection, and from Sunehri Masjid towards Vijay Chowk. It also mentioned traffic on Rafi Marg between Sunehri Masjid and Krishi Bhawan intersection will not be permitted. The Republic Day 2024 celebrations officially come to a conclusion with the Beating Retreat ritual.
Duty Road Deterrence
It is further stated that traffic will be restricted on the duty road between Vijay Chowk and ‘C’ Hexagon. Commuters have been advised to take alternative routes such as Ring Road, Ridge Road, Aurobindo Marg, Madrasa T-Point, Lodhi Road, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Rani Jhansi Road and Minto Road, the release said.
