Monsoon hits Delhi, Mumbai simultaneously after 62 years; botched up infrastructure takes away life

Weather Update: With the onset of Monsoon in the national capital and other parts of the city, the callousness of the concerned departments also comes to light with incidents like water logging, jams etc. Unfortunately a woman at the New Delhi Railway station has become the victim of one of such errors. The woman came to the railway station to board the train early morning when she tried to avoid the flooded water and touched an electric pole and got electrocuted.

Victim’s kin Files complaint of negligence

The woman was rushed to the hospital where she was declared brought dead. The victim’s relatives had filed a complaint in the Police station blaming them for the negligence. Meanwhile this year Monsoon has arrived in both the metropolitan cities together, Delhi and Mumbai for the first time. According to the IMD, the Monsoon was suppose to hit the National Capital on 27th June as predicted but it has hit early bringing the mercury down.

Early showers bring Jams and water-Logging

The residents of Delhi have been struggling with humidity and heat for the last few weeks. People were feeling the heat in night also as there was no relief from the humidity for many days. People were sitting with their AC’s on during the whole day. The sudden Monsoon Showers have brought the temperature down in many parts of Delhi and Mumbai.
