According to police, a woman and a friend’s husband allegedly plotted together to murder a relative who was sexually accused regularly. The two suspects were arrested in northeast Delhi, according to the police.
The relative’s body, which had stab wounds to the neck and abdomen, was discovered on Sunday morning at Bela Farm, close to Shastri Park in northeast Delhi. The two are accused of stabbing the victim to death.
Joy Tirkey, deputy police commissioner for the northeast, reported that the criminal’s knife had been found. He stated that at 8:34 on Sunday morning, police were informed about the death of an unidentified male discovered at Bela Farm.
According to Tirkey, a police team discovered the man’s without clothes body, which was covered in stab wounds from a sharp object. The victim was roughly 30 years old.
“It appeared the man may have been murdered somewhere else…his body was dumped in that area…,” said Tirkey.
He said they identified the man as a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj. “Nearly 20 CCTV cameras around the place where the body was found were scanned. Two people were seen around and they appeared to be the suspects. Their identification was established and the two…were caught from northeast Delhi for interrogation,” said Tirkey.
According to Tirkey, the widow, who lost her husband in January due to an illness, claimed the relative routinely sexually assaulted her. “She wanted revenge and to get rid of…[the relative].” He added the husband of her friend agreed to help her.
Tirkey said the woman took the relative to Bela Farm to watch the overflowing Yamuna before the two accused overpowered and stabbed him to death. “They threw the dead body behind a wall in Bela Farm and fled.”
