From Gurugram to Faridabad, several highways can be restricted. There may be traffic issues on the Delhi-Jaipur highway from September 8 through 10, when the G-20 meeting will be held in Delhi. Gurugram and Delhi Police have created detours by erecting barricades in a number of locations. The passage of any vehicles on this route has been prohibited. The conference will take place over three days, and all of the out-of-country attendees will arrive at Delhi Airport, where there will be tremendous traffic.

Gurugram’s Heavy Vehicles Face Delhi Entry Restrictions During G-20 Summit

On Wednesday, the Gurugram Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory. The alert warns that big vehicles and buses travelling from Gurugram to Delhi on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway may be subject to restrictions. Heavy vehicle entry from Gurugram to Delhi would be prohibited during the G-20 conference from September 7 at midnight to September 10 at midnight, according to DCP Traffic Virendra Vij. Heavy vehicles travelling from Jaipur will be detoured away from KMP, Manesar, Khedki Daula, and other squares at the same time. In addition, the buses of Rajasthan and Haryana Roadways won’t be able to cross the border at Sarhol for three days. For them too, IFFCO will enter Aya Nagar Delhi via Chowk, MG Road and from there will go directly to Delhi Kashmiri Gate.

Alternative Routes for Delhi Airport Travelers During G20

Passengers travelling to Terminal 3 will take Old Delhi Road to get there from UER-2 Road and will be able to access Delhi via the service lane of the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, according to DCP Traffic. In addition, passengers travelling to Terminal 1 from UER-2 would be able to do so by taking Old Delhi Road, Alan Batar Road, and the service road of the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. Gurugram District Magistrate and DC Nishant Kumar Yadav has imposed Section 144 in Gurugram from September 8 to 10 in anticipation of the G-20 main meeting. According to the District Magistrate’s directives, this year’s G-20 meeting would be held in India. The main summit will take place at New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan on September 9 and 10, 2023. wherein the leaders of the various member nations will take part. Additionally, plans have been made in Gurugram for some of these heads of state and government to remain there. A blanket prohibition on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (such as drones and other similar devices) has been imposed throughout the area from September 8 to 10 due to security concerns.

Gurugram Roadways Unveils New Routes Amid G20 Preparations

On Wednesday, Haryana Roadways Gurugram Depot prepared a new route for the period from December 8 to 10. To provide bus passengers with full information, the new route was posted at the bus stop. The Roadways bus will travel via MG Road and Aya Nagar from Gurugram Bus Stand to IFFCO Chowk. Yoon Suk Yeol, the president of South Korea, will stay in Gurugram’s Oberoi Hotel with his team. At the hotel, preparations for his entry and security are complete. On September 8, he will travel directly to the hotel from the Delhi airport before attending the G-20 conference. The police advise anyone going to or from Delhi to take the metro instead of a private automobile. In addition, between September 9 and September 11, 43 express trains, including local trains between Delhi and Palwal, would remain cancelled. This suggests that the parking lots will be filled as a result of the rise in the number of passengers at the metro rail stations. Parking their cars will be challenging for the drivers. Parking space is quite limited at metro train stations.
