Diwali 2023: The Hindu calendar states that the festival of Bhai Dooj is observed annually on the second day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Kartik. Another name for it is Yama Dwitiya. Bhai Dooj is a national holiday that is widely observed with considerable fanfare following Diwali. This celebration represents the bond between a brother and sister. But, there is misunderstanding this year about the Bhai Dooj holiday among the populace. When is Bhai Dooj celebrated? When is the lucky time?
Pratipada Tithi of Shukla Paksha
According to the Hindu calendar, the Pratipada Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month starts at 2:36 pm on 14th November. After this, Dwitiya Tithi will be from 2:36 pm on 14th November to 1:45 pm on 15th November. According to religious belief, the festival of Bhai Dooj is celebrated during the day. For this reason, from noon on 14th November, sisters can apply tilak on their brother’s forehead and tie the Raksha Sutra, praying for his long life. According to the astrology of Ayodhya, the festival of Bhai Dooj can be celebrated from 14th November to 15th November.
Prayer for Long Life
Sisters ask for their brother to live a long life on Bhai Dooj. The sister tilsaks her brother’s forehead on this day. The best time to get vaccinated is between 1:10 and 3:19 pm. The Ayodhya astrologer states that the brother should be facing either north or north-west on Tilak. On the other hand, facing east or northeast for the sister is accepted as correct.
