A 29-year-old soldier died after he was allegedly attacked by a DMK corporator in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri district. The name of the soldier is Prabhu, he has also served in Jammu and Kashmir. Police say there was an argument between the constable and DMK corporator Chinnasamy over washing clothes at a public tank. The constable’s brother Prabhakaran was also injured in the attack, police said.
Prabhu died during treatment
Soldier Prabhu, who was injured in the attack, was admitted to the hospital. He died last night during treatment. After this, on 9 February, 6 people were arrested. Three more people, including a DMK corporator, were arrested today. Police said the mob attacked the soldier with sticks.
The ruling DMK is yet to react in this matter. BJP state chief Annamalai said there is no security for an army man in his own hometown. People are looking at the apathetic Chief Minister who is holding the Home Department.
