S Jaishankar: India Today reports that External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar recently briefed the heads of Mission in India about India’s growth story during Modi as PM.
Press Trust of India reports that Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal accompanied Minister Jaishankar during the latter’s interaction with the diplomats.
Taking to Twitter, S Jaishankar said, “Participated in an interaction with Heads of Missions in New Delhi along with my colleague CIM @piyushgoyal ji. Shared with them the transformational changes seen in India under 09 Years of Modi Government.”
Mr Modi will seek re-election in 2024 when the present Lok Sabha expires. His ministers have spread all over the country to share India’s growth story with the electorate.
On Tuesday. PM Modi embarked on his first state visit to the United States. During his stay there, the Indian Prime Minister will attend several public and private programmes. He will address members of the Indian-American community on June 23 in Washington before leaving for Egypt.
Indian Americans brace for Modi’s visit to the United States
On Sunday, nearly a hundred Indian Americans walked to the Lincoln Memorial chanting “Modi Modi”. Similar scenes were witnessed in New York and San Francisco.

Thousands of Indian Americans are expected to see Modi being welcomed by President Joe Biden and the First Lady on the South Lawns of the White House on June 21.
There is also a clamour for tickets to the US Congress where PM Modi will address Congressmen.
India Today reports that “Senators and Congressmen are having a tough time deciding whom to give their one ticket to watch the speech of the prime minister from the visitor’s gallery”.
Guest list is a secret
Nobody knows who is on the guest list for the dinner in honour of Mr Modi at the White House. Sources say Ami Bera, Raja Krishnamoorthi, Pramila Jayapal, Ro Khanna and Shri Thanedar might be invited to the US President to the State Dinner.
