An earthquake of 5.8 magnitude jolts Afghanistan and the tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR, and Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from these areas, earthquake tremors were felt in the border areas of Afghanistan. However, there is no report of casualties as it was normal. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) informed on Saturday that the earthquake occurred at 21:31:48 IST. The location of the earthquake was Hindu Kush Region.
National Centre for Seismology shares earthquake updates on its Twitter account. Reporting about the same, NCS wrote on their social media platform, “Earthquake of Magnitude:5.8, Occurred on 05-08-2023, 21:31:48 IST, Lat: 36.38 & Long: 70.77, Depth: 181 Km ,Location: Hindu Kush Region,Afghanistan.”
