The National Center for Seismology of India reported a 3.6-magnitude earthquake early on Friday morning in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir.
The National Centre for Seismology reported that the earthquake struck around 5.01 am at a depth of 10 km.
“Earthquake of Magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 17-02-2023, 05:01:49 IST, Lat: 33.10 & Long: 75.97, Depth: 10 Km ,Location: 97km E of Katra, Jammu and Kashmir,” tweeted National Center for Seismology.
According to the officials, there were no casualties or reported damaged property anywhere, according to news agency PTI.
East of Katra, 97 kilometres, stood the epicentre. The earthquake was centered at 33.10 degrees latitude and 75.97 degrees longitude, respectively.
In the early hours of February 13, the state of Sikkim experienced earthquake tremors. The National Center for Seismology reports that earthquake tremors were felt in Yuksom, Sikkim, around 4.15 am. On the Richter scale, its magnitude was measured at 4.3.
