In a significant move, the Election Commission (EC) has taken swift action against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by issuing a show-cause notice on Thursday. The notice is in response to recent comments made by Gandhi targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where he used terms like ‘panauti’ (bad omen) and ‘pickpocket’ during his speeches, along with remarks related to loan waivers. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, in response to the notice, affirmed the party’s willingness to address any formal communication from the Election Commission.
