Elon Musk, and Gautam Adani: Top businessmen Elon Musk of the United States and Gautam Adani of India collectively lost almost $25 million, or more than Rs 2 lakh crore, in a single day. According to sources, the pair incurred losses as a result of Monday’s stock market collapse for their companies’ shares.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, both businessmen’s fortunes experienced significant declines.
The stock market fell for all of Gautam Adani’s companies, including Adani Power, Adani Wilmar, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Adani Green, and Adani Total Gas. The business tycoon suffered a huge loss as a result of the sharp decline in share prices. The billionaire lost about $9.67 billion, or Rs. 78,913 crore.

Shares of Adani Total Gas Limited fell 7.90% to trade at Rs 3,076 while those of Adani Wilmar closed at Rs 717.75. Adani Power, on the other hand, fell by 4.00% to conclude at Rs 354.85 while Adani Enterprises, which had fallen by 8.42%, closed at Rs 3,164.75.
Adani Energy shares dropped 7.65% to settle at Rs 2,087.85, and shares of Adani Port closed at Rs 784.95.
However, according to the Index report, Musk lost approximately $15.5 million, or Rs. 1.26 lakh crore, as the shares of his automaker Tesla plunged sharply by 8.6%, the lowest one-day decline in four months.
According to Reuters, the market value of the automaker was reduced by $71 billion as a result of the share price decline at Tesla.

Adani is currently the fourth richest person in the world.
It should be mentioned that Musk is still the richest person in the world despite the enormous losses. After Bernard Arnault, the chairman of Louis Vuitton, and Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, Adani is currently the fourth richest person in the world.
