Yamuna Bank Metro Station: The flood-like situation in Delhi has now hampered Delhi Metro services as DMRC announced no entry and exit will take place at Yamuna Bank Metro Station due to a rise in the water level. In a tweet, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said services at Yamuna Bank Metro Station have been halted. However, the transfer facility is still available, the DMRC clarified.
Yamuna Bank metro station inaccessible
Due to the rise in Yamuna water level, Delhi is currently on high alert, triggering evacuation and the government carrying out rescue work. Now, the DMRC in a tweet shared that the services at the Yamuna Bank metro station have been halted due to a rise in the water level in the vicinity.
“Entry and exit at Yamuna Bank Metro Station has been temporarily closed due to the rising water levels of the Yamuna River. However, interchange facility is still available and services on Blue Line are running normally,” DMRC said in a tweet.
In another tweet, Due to the escalating water levels of the Yamuna River, the approach road leading to Yamuna Bank Metro Station is currently inaccessible. Kindly plan your journey accordingly and consider alternate routes. However, interchange facility is available.
Traffic in Delhi
Several key roads are waterlogged in the national capital, resulting in traffic jams on alternative routes. Traffic movement have been impaired on:
- Mahatma Gandhi Marg between IP Flyover and Change Ram Akhara
- Mahatma Gandhi Marg between Kalighat Mandi and Delhi Secretariat
- Outer ring Road between Wazirabad Bridge ad Chandgi Ram Akhara
