After the review meeting on the impact of cyclone Biparjoy, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a press conference. He said that Prime Minister Modi had held a review meeting in which separate meetings, video conferencing and exchange of information were held to alert the system. Amit Shah said that the storm caused minimal damage and everyone worked together. He called it the best example of teamwork.
Amit Shah said, when a cyclone hits the coast with a speed of 140 km and after reviewing it on the third day, it is known that not a single person has lost his life, then there is satisfaction in working. Together they have set an example of how timely information can be used to save lives and property.
‘Everyone worked together’
The Union Minister said, ‘Today I and the Chief Minister met the displaced people at Jakhau, where Biparjoy landed. Met women, farmers. Also interacted with NDRF and SDRF personnel engaged in rescue operations. After this, the review was done in the meeting held in hybrid mode in the office of District Collector, Kutch.’
According to Shah, ‘When the news of Biparjoy broke on June 6, there were a lot of apprehensions, but I can say with great satisfaction that in today’s meeting, everyone worked together and ensured minimum losses.’
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah conducted an aerial survey of areas affected by cyclone ‘Biparjoy’ in Kutch district of Gujarat on Saturday. He met the injured people at a hospital in Mandvi town and also interacted with farmers and personnel of NDRF and BSF.
