The Delhi Police, which is investigating the violence during the tractor rally, has so far seized 14 tractors involved in the disturbance, while identifying 80 tractors. These include tractors who have been involved in committing violence during the rally, causing damage to property, attempting to trample the police and breaking traffic rules.
Joint Police Commissioner of Delhi Police Alok Kumar said that tractor was tried to crush the policemen in a very violent manner. There was widespread sabotage and damage. This rally was done in a very violent way, legal action will be taken on it.
A total of 7 FIRs have been registered so far in the case of violence in different areas of Delhi. 4 Eastern Range, one Dwarka Baba Haridas Nagar Police Station, one Najafgarh, one Uttam Nagar, Central and North Delhi Red Fort where FIRs are also to be held here.
Till Saturday, the police had also received 1,700 video clips and CCTV footage from the public which could help in investigations related to the violence.
On January 26, there was chaos in Delhi due to the violence in the Tractor Parade in protest against the three new agricultural laws. Many protesters entered the Red Fort complex and placed their flag on the flag where the Prime Minister hoists the national flag on Independence Day.
