According to Rana, the next step involves selecting a bank through a tender process to facilitate the Fastag system. The tender will be issued as soon as the code of conduct is finalized. Once this process is complete, the Fastag facility can be promptly implemented.

The toll plaza, frequented by commuters from various neighboring areas including Mangar, Pali, Surajkund, Gwal Pahari, Ghata, and Bandhwadi, witnesses significant traffic congestion during morning and evening rush hours. Toll Plaza Manager, Amit Sinha, noted that approximately 50 to 52 thousand vehicles pass through the toll plaza daily, exacerbating the congestion.

Currently, toll collection relies on conventional methods such as cash and e-wallet payments, leading to delays of five to fifteen minutes per transaction. Many commuters opt to pay toll on both sides simultaneously to avail of toll tax exemptions, further prolonging the process. The implementation of the Fastag system is expected to significantly reduce transaction times, enhancing the overall commuting experience.

Residents, such as Umesh Chaurasia from Jawar Colony, expressed relief at the prospect of shorter waiting times at the toll plaza. Chaurasia highlighted the inconvenience caused by the lengthy queues during peak hours, which often result in delays of up to 25 minutes. Jaideep Raj Saxena, a resident of Sector 86, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the impact of toll plaza congestion on daily commutes to work.

With the imminent introduction of the Fastag system, commuters can look forward to smoother journeys between Gurugram and Faridabad. The installation of Fastag equipment at the toll plaza signals a positive step towards addressing long-standing traffic challenges and improving overall transportation efficiency in the region.
